Contact
FitCalcs is built and maintained independently by Jesse, and every message is read. There is no support desk and no ticket queue between you and the person who wrote the page you are emailing about.
Email us at hello@fitcalcs.app. We aim to reply within a few business days. This is a side project run by one person, so a busy week can stretch that — but a correction gets looked at before anything else, because a wrong number left up is worse than a slow reply.
What you can write to us about
- Report an error. If a calculator result looks wrong or a formula seems off, tell us what you entered and what you expected. Accuracy matters to us and we will investigate — see how we vet formulas on our methodology page.
- Challenge a claim. If a sentence says more than its cited source actually supports, or the source is out of date, that is worth an email even when the arithmetic is fine. Point at the source you think we should be using.
- Suggest a calculator. Missing a tool you would use? Let us know what it should calculate and we will consider adding it.
- Ask about the math. Questions about which formula a calculator uses or where a number comes from are always welcome.
- Report something broken. A layout that breaks on your phone, a button that does nothing, a table that will not scroll — tell us the page and the device and it can usually be fixed quickly.
- General feedback. Confusing wording, or anything else that made a page harder to use than it should be — it all helps us improve.
What to include in an error report
A correction is much faster to act on with three things in it: the page address, the exact values you entered, and the result you expected instead (and why, if you have a source). With those, the calculation can be reproduced directly. Without them, the first reply is usually just a request for them.
Confirmed errors are fixed and the page's review date is updated; substantive changes to a method are noted on the page rather than quietly edited away. The editorial policy sets out that process in full.
What we cannot help with
Please note we cannot provide personalized medical, nutrition, or training advice. Our calculators are educational estimates for healthy adults, not a substitute for a doctor or registered dietitian. Questions like whether a particular calorie target is safe for you, how to eat around a medical condition or medication, or whether a symptom is a problem all need a qualified professional who can examine you — Jesse is a developer, not a clinician, and answering those would be worse than declining to.
We also do not accept guest posts, link-exchange requests, sponsored content, or product placements. Those emails do not get a reply; the editorial policy explains why nothing on this site is for sale to advertisers.
Privacy of what you send
Your email is used to answer you and nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list, and there is no newsletter to be signed up for. Please do not send medical records or other sensitive personal details — a description of the inputs and the result is all a correction needs. Our privacy policy covers what the site itself collects, which is deliberately very little.
Other pages that may answer it faster
- Methodology — every formula the site uses, its source, and its known limitations.
- About the author — who writes this, what they are and are not qualified in.
- Guides — the explainers behind the calculators, including why the estimates carry the error bars they do.
- Embedding a calculator — if you want to put one of these tools on your own site, the instructions are there and you do not need to ask permission.
