Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Last updated: July 4, 2026
This page explains your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and how to opt out of the use of your personal information for advertising purposes.
Does FitCalcs sell personal information?
FitCalcs does not directly sell your personal information. We do not maintain user accounts and we do not store your calculator inputs.
However, we display ads through Google AdSense. Google and other advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your browsing activity and use it to show you personalized ads. Under a broad interpretation of the CCPA, this may qualify as a "sale" of personal information.
How to opt out
You have several options to limit or stop personalized advertising:
- Cookie consent: When you visit the site, a cookie consent banner gives you the option to decline non-essential cookies. Declining will prevent personalized ads from loading.
- Google Ads Settings: Visit adssettings.google.com to opt out of personalized ads served by Google.
- NAI opt-out: Use the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tool at optout.networkadvertising.org.
- DAA opt-out: Use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info.
Your CCPA rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected about you
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights
Because FitCalcs does not store personal information, there is typically nothing to access or delete. If you have questions about information held by our advertising partners, please contact them directly or use the opt-out tools above.
